Contact Us

This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, release or transfer a person, post bond, retrieve an official booking record, correct an agency database, or provide legal advice. Contact the government office responsible for the record or service directly.

Choose the Office That Holds the Information

St. Mary's County arrest information is distributed across the Sheriff's headquarters, the Detention and Rehabilitation Center, and the Sheriff's records function. Using the contact that matches the question avoids asking a private website to perform a government service.

St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office

23150 Leonard Hall Drive
Leonardtown, MD 20650
Main: (301) 475-4040

Use the main office for general agency routing. For an emergency, call 911. Because older Sheriff material may show different numbers, confirm current non-emergency routing through the official main line.

Detention and Rehabilitation Center

41880 Baldridge Street
Leonardtown, MD 20650
Detention line: (301) 475-4200, extension 2200

Contact the DRC to confirm immediate local custody when the online incarcerated-individual lookup is missing a just-processed booking or appears stale.

Office of Professional Responsibility

St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office
Records contact: (301) 475-4200, extension 1903
Email: smcso.opr@stmaryscountymd.gov

Use OPR for Sheriff public-information and records routing, including a focused request for a booking sheet, incident report, or booking photograph. No special public booking-photo fee was established in the research; ask the custodian for any applicable estimate.

No verified office hours were provided in the project research, so call or check the agency's current contact page before visiting. Do not send urgent safety information by email.

Where to Start With an Arrest Question

  • Current local custody: Search the official Sheriff's incarcerated-individual lookup through the home page guide, then call the DRC when timing matters.
  • An incident from today: The Daily Arrest Report explains why the county CAD display is an incident feed rather than a list of confirmed bookings.
  • Several days of reporting: The Weekly Arrest Log separates selected official releases, the historical Sheriff blotter, and caveated news period lists.
  • A booking sheet, photograph, or incident report: Contact OPR with the full name, approximate date, local ID if known, and a precise description of the record.
  • Custody alerts: Use the VINELink Inmate Check for Maryland's search and notification route, while confirming the source record separately.
  • Leonardtown context: Use Leonardtown Recent Arrests. The town has no separate police arrest log identified in the research; the county Sheriff and DRC systems remain central.
  • Court status or outcome: Follow eligible case information through Maryland Courts. A jail roster is not the final court docket.
  • State custody after transfer: Use the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services incarcerated-individual locator rather than assuming a missing county row means release.

Before Requesting a Booking Record

Write down the person's full name, the approximate arrest or booking date, the local ID if it appears in the roster, the law-enforcement agency involved, and the exact item requested. Distinguish a booking sheet from an incident report, court filing, or photograph. A narrow description allows the custodian to identify the right record and explain any fee, withholding, or response schedule.

The Sheriff's public roster does not publish a universal bond, court-date, release-date, or arrest-time field. It also does not state a formal online retention period. Ask for the record you need rather than asking this site to fill those gaps. An arrest and charges at booking are accusations only. Every person is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

What We Can and Cannot Receive

This site has no access to Sheriff, jail, court, or VINE accounts. Sending us a name does not create a records request, custody check, correction request, legal filing, or removal demand. Do not submit Social Security numbers, payment-card information, account passwords, private medical information, or urgent tips here.

For an emergency, call 911. For present custody, use the DRC line. For an official record, contact OPR. For a court matter, contact the relevant Maryland court or a qualified attorney. These routes are independent, and one office may refer the request when another custodian holds the responsive material.
